Love, Love, Love
What is love?
- · Is it something you can touch? Yes we could say that it is, because we want to demonstrate our love for a person, animal or object by touching him or her or it.
- · Is it something that is only in our mind and thoughts? The teenagers may feel it is when the get that fussy feeling in the presence of someone they call special.
- · Is it intimate contact such as sex or touching? People talk about “Making love.” and mostly refer to sex.
- · Is it something you can see? We say “O you can see they are in love.” or “You can see it in their eyes, when they look at each other.”.
- · Is it something you can be taught or you learn over time? Years ago couples where married through the consent of their fathers or marriages where organized.
- · Is it something that happens immediately on the spur of the moment? Some would say yes “When I saw him/her I was in love.” or “I knew, I was in love as soon as he/she walked through the door.”
If we look at the different connotations that are coupled to
the word love, we can only come the conclusion that none of them really do
justus to the word love. In actual fact
we have denigrated the word to the level of worldliness and the actual meaning
has been lost. Let me explain.
In the bible when love is mentioned it is used in a totally
different context in Joh. 3:16 it says “For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.” This has nothing to do with the questions and
explanations above, it has to do with the essence and character of God and Who
He is.
Love or loved appear in the Old Testament 192 times and 227
times in the New Testament and non of them refer to the connotations of modern
man.
Here are a few verses in which love is used in the bible:
Gal. 5:22 & 23a “But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.”
Rom. 8:37 – 39 “Nay,
in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For
I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor
any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is
in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
1Joh. 4:8 “He that
loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
1Joh. 4:11 “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also
to love one another.”
What is love really?
As we look at the universe and all that is there and we
consider what it is made of. The scientists tel us about quantum partikels that
makeup everything. They tel us about the 4 forces that holds everything
together and should the strength of any one of these force change in the slightest
the whole universe will collapse. These forces are:
1. The Strong Nuclear Force, also
referred to as the strong force. It has a very short range, its main function is
to hold together the subatomic particles of the nucleus ie. the protons, and neutrons.
Because the protons are positively charged they tend to repel each other and
the strong force is needed to hold the nucleus together.
2. The weak
nuclear force plays a crucial role in powering stars and creating elements. It
is also responsible for much of the natural radiation present in the universe.
And is the hart of all stars like our sun.
3. Electromagnetic
force is the force that acts between electrically charged particles and the
combined effect of electric and magnetic forces acting between charged
particles moving relative to each other. It is also responsible for giving
things strength, shape, and hardness.
4. Gravity
or gravitation is a natural phenomenon by which all things with mass are
brought towards each other including stars, planets, galaxies and even light
and sub-atomic particles. Gravity is responsible for the complexity in the
universe, by creating spheres of hydrogen, igniting them under pressure to form
stars and grouping them into galaxies. On Earth, gravity gives weight to
physical objects and causes the tides. Gravity has an infinite range, and it
cannot be absorbed, transformed, or shielded against.
These forces where instituted by God so that everything that
exist can exist in total harmony. But what lets God exist? We refer to God as
the Trinity, the Godhead three in one, God the Father, God the Son and God the
Holy Spirit. What force binds the Trinity together? The fifth force – namely: Love.
Love is an all encompassing force that is not bound in its
ability, like the other 3 forces. Love is the force that binds everything
together and binds all to God, because that is what God is.
The Word tells us that “God is Love”, God may consist of
other parts that we do not know about or comprehend, but the force that unites
all is Love. The Universe and all in it is united by Gods Spirit Being through
LOVE.
Just as light expels darkness, love expels all that is bad
and ungodly. Darkness is only prevalent when
there is no light, but only light exists. Likewise ungodliness does not exist,
it is only prevalent where there is no Love. As soon as Love abounds
ungodliness disappears.
1Joh. 4:16 “And we
have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that
dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
Photon or light particle:
A photon is an elementary particle, the quantum of light and
all other forms of electromagnetic radiation. It is the force carrier for the
electromagnetic force. The because the photon has zero rest mass; it allows
long distance interactions. Like all elementary particles, exhibit
wave–particle duality, exhibiting properties of waves and of particles. The
energy of a photon can not decrease by itself, although the energy is
transmitted through interaction with other particles. Photon is always active as
a frequency, wavelength, amplitude and another wave attributes. A Photon is
electrically neutral and can not be electrically charged. Depending on the
frequency we know the photon as visible light, the light that we can see. But it
is also what is known as Gamma rays, X-rays, ultraviolet rays, infrared rays,
radio waves and microwave rays.
Love:
Love is a spiritual force that reflects the essence of God.
It is not palpable, yet we can experience it in different forms. It speaks to
the people's mind and soul. It feeds people and give him or her a sense of
life. Without love, a person. will begin to waste away and his or her life takes
on a wickedness. With love man flourishes into glory and in the fullness of
God. Because love is Spiritual, it can not be described as a Photon with
attributes of speed or physical form, but it is a global power that achieves
bonding. Lovelessness brings decay and the total destruction of everything.
Depending on the degree of spiritual love that man has, he or
she accepts God and lives in God's glory. By approaching God one can develop
his love in yourself and multiply to be like Christ and become one with Christ
when only the spirit man is left.

Wat is liefde?
- · Is dit iets waaraan jy kan vat? Ja sou ons dalk so kan sê, want ons het iemand of iets lief en wil dit deur aanraking aan daardie persoon, dier of voorwerp bewys.
- · Is dit iets wat slegs in ons gedagtes is? Veral as ons jonger is sal so voel of selfs so sê; “Ek is lief vir so en so.” Of ek is lief vir so ’n voorwerp kar, fiets, land of ander voorwerp.
- · Is dit intieme kontak soos sex, of vry? In Engels praat ons van; “Making love.” En bedoel ons om sex te hê met iemand.
- · Is dit iets wat jy kan sien? Ons sê; “Jy kan sommer sien daardie twee is verlief, kyk hoe kyk hulle vir mekaar.” of “Jy kan dit is sy/haar oë sien.” of “Sy/haar hele houding wys vir jou hy/sy is verlief.”
- · Is dit iets wat jy moet aanleer of is dit onmiddellik? Jy hoor iemand se; “Toe haar/hom/dit sien is ek sommer verlief daarop of op hom of haar.” In ander gevalle praat hulle van liefde vir iets aanleer.
As mens het ons verskillende konnotasie aan die woord liefde
gekoppel wat nie noodwendig werklike liefde is nie. In ’n sekere sin het ons
die woord heeltemal vervlak, waar dit eintlik iets heeltemal anders beteken.
Kom ek verduidelik.
In die Bybel word daar gepraat van liefde in ’n heeltemal
ander konteks. Daar staan in Joh. 3:16
“Want so lief het God die wêreld gehad, dat Hy sy eniggebore Seun gegee
het, sodat elkeen wat in Hom glo, nie verlore mag gaan nie, maar die ewige lewe
kan hê.” Dit het niks te doen met enige van die vrae hierbo oor liefde nie, dit
het te doen met die wese van God, met Sy samestelling, met wie Hy is.
Die woord liefde kom in die OT 61 keer voor en 118 keer in
die NT en die woord lief 54 keer in beide Testamente. Maar nie een keer verwys
dit na die konnotasies wat ons aan die woord gegee het nie.
’n Paar verse waarin liefde vir my omskryf word:
Gal. 5:22 “Maar die
vrug van die Gees is liefde, blydskap, vrede, lankmoedigheid, vriendelikheid,
goedheid, getrouheid, sagmoedigheid, selfbeheersing.”
Rom. 8:37 – 39 “Maar
in al hierdie dinge is ons meer as oorwinnaars deur Hom wat ons liefgehad het.
Want ek is versekerd dat geen dood of lewe of engele of owerhede of magte of
teenwoordige of toekomende dinge of hoogte of diepte of enige ander skepsel ons
sal kan skei van die liefde van God wat daar in Christus Jesus, onse Here, is
nie.”
1Joh. 4:8 “Hy wat nie
lief het nie, het God nie geken nie, want God is liefde.”
1Joh. 4:11
“Geliefdes, as God ons so liefgehad het, behoort ons ook mekaar lief te
hê.”
Wat is liefde
werklik?
As ons kyk na die heelal en die alles wat daarin is en ons
gaan kyk na waaruit alles bestaan. Vertel die wetenskaplikes ons van
kwantumteorie en partikels en die 4 kragte wat dit alles aanmekaar hou.
In die subatomiese wêreld van atome en kwantum deeltjies
geld daar net vier grondliggende interaksies of kragte. Sonder hierdie kragte
sou daar geen heelal gewees het nie.
1. Die sterk
wisselwerkende subatomiese krag wat protone en neutrone saambid. Protone is
elektronies positief gelaai en sal dus neig om mekaar weg te stoot, wat beteken
die atoom sal verval tot niks (en ons en die heelal daarmee saam). Die sterk
wisselwerkende krag bid die protone en die neutron egter in die kern saam.
Hierdie krag is lokaal tot die spesifieke atoom en beïnvloed nie ander atome se
kerne of protone nie.
2. Die swak
wisselwerkende krag is vir sekere radioaktiwiteit verantwoordelik. Dit speel ’n
noodsaaklike rol in die kettings van kernreaksies wat energie opwek in die
harte van sterre soos ons Son.
3. Elektromagnetisme,
bind die elektrone aan die kerne en is verantwoordelik vir die saam-koek van
atome om molekule te vorm. Dit is ook verantwoordelik vir atoom-strukture en
die uitstraling van strale as onsigbare en sigbare lig. Dit laat materie solied
lyk.
4. Gravitasie,
die aantrekkingskrag tussen voorwerpe met massa. Ook bekend as swaartekrag, die
krag is die swakste van die vier maar geld oor geweldige afstande.
Hierdie kragte is deur God daargestel sodat alles kan
bestaan. Maar wat laat God bestaan? Ons praat van die Drie-eenheid: God die
Vader, God die Seun en die Heilige Gees. Wat bind hulle aanmekaar? Die vyfde
krag nl. Liefde.
Liefde is die allesomvattende krag wat nie gebonde is soos
die ander 4 kragte nie. Liefde is die krag wat alles aanmekaar hou en alles aan
God bind, want dit is God.
Ons lees “God is liefde”, god bestaan ook uit ander dele wat
nie almal aan ons bekend is nie, maar die krag wat alles saambind is liefde.
Die heelal en alles wat daarin is word met God as Geestelike wese saamgebind
deur LIEFDE.
Net soos lig die donker verdryf net so verdryf liefde alles
wat sleg en lelik is. Donkerte is slegs daar omdat daar nie lig is nie, maar
donkerte bestaan nie net lig bestaan. Netso bestaan kwaad nie dit is slegs die
afwesigheid van liefde, waar kwaad kan gedy, sodra liefde inkom kan kwaad nie
meer bestaan nie.
1Joh. 4:16 “En ons
het die liefde wat God tot ons het, leer ken en geglo. God is liefde; en hy wat
in die liefde bly, bly in God, en God in hom.”
Photon of lig partikel:
Die kleinste boson wat bestaan is die Photon, die boson wat
lig gee. ’n Photon is ’n elementêre kwantum partikel ’n bondel
elektromagnetiese energie met geen massa nie maar wat tweeledig is of
tweeledigheid weerspieël, dit funksioneer as ’n golf of ’n partikel. Die
energie daarvan kan nie vanself afneem nie, alhoewel die energie oorgedra kan
word deur wisselwerking met ander partikels. Photon is altyd aktief (het ’n
frekwensie, golflengte, amplitude en ander golf attribute), in ’n vakuum beweeg
dit teen die spoed van lig nl. 2.998 x
108 m/s. In die atmosfeer en ander media soos water neem die spoed af as gevolg
van die digtheid van die stof waarin dit beweeg. ’n Photon is elektries
neutraal en kan nie elektries gelaai word nie.
Afhangend van die frekwensie ken ons die photon as sigbare
lig, die lig wat ons daagliks om ons het waarmee ons kan sien. Maar dit is ook
wat ons ken as Gamma strale, X-strale, ultraviolet strale, infrarooi strale,
radio golwe en mikrogolf strale.
Liefde:
Liefde is ’n geestelike krag wat die essensie van God
weerspieël. Dit is nie tasbaar nie, tog kan ons dit in verskillende vorme
beleef. Dit spreek tot die mense se gees en siel. Dit voed die mense en gee
hom/haar ’n sin vir die lewe. Sonder liefde begin die mense wegkwyn en neem sy
of haar lewe ’n goddeloosheid aan. Met liefde gedy die mens tot volle glorie in
die volheid van God. Omdat liefde Geestelik is, kan dit nie beskryf word soos
’n Photon nie en het dit nie spoed of materiële vorm, maar is dit ’n
allesomvattende krag wat samebinding bewerkstellig. Liefdeloosheid bring verval
en die totale vernietiging van alles.
Afhangend van die mate van geestelike liefde wat mens het,
sal hy/sy God aanvaar en binne God se heerlikheid kan lewe. Deur toenadering
tot God kan mens sy liefde ontwikkel en vermeerder om soos Christus te word en
word die mens dan in die Godheid opgeneem wanneer sy liggaam verval en slegs
die gees mens oorbly.
Ek seën jou met die Liefde van God Drie-enig sodat jy kan
gedy binne daardie Liefde en Gees.
