Street Witnessing

Where people walk the streets, there is Jesus.

We are the bride of Christ with an unbreakable bond. Jesus said:
"... for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.Heb 13:5
... there with the ekklēsia (the meeting together of the church - literally in Greek "from the calling" or "called out from").

Have you ever noticed that Jesus went out to meet the people. He never said: Meet Me at the Synagogue or meet Me at the temple. Even in His great commission, Jesus never said to get a place for the gathering first and then let the people gather there on a weekly basis. Instead, He went out there and allowed people to gather around Him! He met people at wells, in the streets, at the corners of streets, beggars, people afflicted with sickness and demons, people with sin and set them free! The Word says He is the Friend of sinners.

The ekklēsia (or church) is out there where you meet with whosoever. As soon as you meet a whosoever a church is formed! As easy as that! Just start sharing the Gospel and glorifying the Name of Jesus!

The Church is the calling of those called together by the Holy Spirit. It was never intended to be a gathering of exclusive people in an exclusive building governed by a set of exclusive rules calling themselves Christians.

The purpose of the street witnessing section on this blog is to share testimonies where witnessing and fellowship is done in the streets where you walk day by day among the elect of God.

Who?
The whosoevers you encounter everyday wherever you walk. Jesus walked the surface of this earth in the likeliness of human flesh so that all whosoevers may be saved.

Written, voice and video testimonies are placed on the main wwm blog under the label Street Witnessing for the glory of the Name of Jesus. These contributions will come from the opensource witnesses of wherever whosoever (wwm), those who forward us their testimonies.

This section is currently also linked to Daniel דּנאל.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev 12:11
The aim, thus, is to share some of the awesome street witnessing events you form part of on a daily basis by experiencing and testifying to the finished work of Jesus Christ, our Saviour, our Intimate Lover, our Healer, our Provision, our Security, our Destiny ...

Together with the other sections of this blog, the wherever whosoever ministry of the street witnessing section will provide feed-back and testimony of previous and new events, conversations, fellowships and interaction as a witnessing platform to the Glory of Jesus and for further encouragement of other whosoevers in Christ. It will also give testimony of the teaching of the Holy Spirit and personal encounters during these events.

Check out the Street Witnessing label on the right for more on the subject and watch this space for more blogs!!

  1. Received the following from PreachIt.org. Is this not what we should do?

    Hallo Dieter

I just wanted to share with you a short excerpt from a message recently contributed to the PreachIt.org members. This message came as a result of a challenge my daughter presented to our church when she had shirts made up that said, "Let Me Show You Jesus."

I have to be honest, I was afraid of our members wearing these shirts in public. I was concerned that our community might see what the shirt said, but not see Jesus. Let Me Show You Jesus was a message that resulted and it set our church on course for a great influx of over 650 first time guests in 2014. Its a simple message really, that was preached with a genuine passion for souls and desire to introduce them to the only One who can make a difference in their life.

We all know today that this world needs to see Jesus.

    • We all know today that the only hope for this troubled world is that they might come into a relationship with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
    • He is the answer for the world’s problems.
    • He is the only one who can heal them.
    • This world needs to see Jesus
    • They don’t need to see us they need to see Jesus.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve grown very tired of my own attempt to reach people with words.

    • Words are cheap.
    • Words are easy.
    • Words don’t take much commitment.
    • Words don’t take much sacrifice.

    Anybody can offer words,

    • But who will take out of their want to feed someone who has no food.
    • Who would go in their closet and pull out a few outfits for someone who has nothing to wear.
    • Who would care for and minister to someone who has fallen sick.
    • Who would buy a Christmas gift for a child that they don’t even know and may never meet?

Let me show you Jesus is the Theme of this church.

    • It is our mantra.
    • It is who we will become.
    • We’re not there yet, but we’re heading in that direction very quickly.
    • Should the Lord tarry and should He bless us, the campus of this church will be more than just a place to have church; it will become a beacon and a lighthouse to this community.
    • It will be a place where lives are truly changed.
    • It will be a place where hope is absolutely restored.
    • It will be a place where people can see Jesus through those who call themselves one of us.

We say we have a great message.

    • We say we have a great hope.
    • We say we have something that the worlds needs.
    • Let’s stop saying it and let's start showing it.
    • Let’s begin to minister to those who God places before us.
    • Lets start to become what we keep preaching about.
    • If we could ever get to the place where they don’t even need to hear our words to see our God – Then – we would truly be showing people Jesus.
